The more things change
It’s been many years. A brand new website. The last version dates from 2013. Back then, I tried my best using CSS I scavenged from internet tutorial pages to create some pull-down menus for all my image galleries. I didn’t know how to create a full-screen splash page so I just used a huge image and some clunky code that sort of worked.
My CSS files pay homage to their sources in comment code:

The site was an imperfect workaround that worked until I had to start apologizing for it’s woeful antiquity.
I even added a mobile version of the site that I paid $25 for someone on Fiverr to create using a simple template and some nifty code. It still works! Much gratitude for the various sharp Fiverr coders all over the world who helped me out.
It was around the turn of the century that the thought of being able to have an online portfolio of my art in my pocket to share with others sounded like a neat idea. I also added my photography services and called the whole experience “PhotoEnquiry.” A take-off on the spiritual term “self-enquiry.” Being present with your experience. Kind of a “who are you?” sort of thing. Or, “who is this ‘I’ that is asking ‘who is this I’?”
For the new site, I wanted something bold and fun and quirky and chose the Fierce theme by QODE. I think it’s made by the author Edge.
When I first saw it, I was confused by the mathematical symbols. What’s what? The “X”, the “=” sign in a box that turns into a “+” sign. The “=” sign meant to pass for the hamburger menu. How do you know where to go? Unless you were born a Millennial or later, you figure it out.
So if you want to peek at the previous incarnation, it’s here:
